General Event Questions

When is Lore & Luster 2027?

Lore & Luster will take place April 10–11, 2027.

Where is the event being held?

Lore & Luster 2027 will be hosted at the Greater Tacoma Convention Center in Tacoma, Washington.

Do I need a ticket to attend?

Yes. All attendees must have a valid ticket to enter the convention

Are tickets required for children?

Children are welcome at Lore & Luster, however please note that some author's works may contain mature themes.

We strongly encourage securing a free child ticket for younger attendees to ensure accurate capacity and a smooth check-in experience

What is your ticket transfer policy?

Tickets for daytime convention activities may be transferred between attendees at the discretion of Lore and Luster. To initiate a transfer, please contact us directly at transfers@loreandluster.online.

Please note that Ball tickets are non-transferable. Any exceptions will be considered solely at the organizer’s discretion and require a signed waiver from the transferring attendee.

Will there be signing and panel spots available for General Admission ticket holders?

Yes!

While VIP ticket holders receive early access to reserve spots for featured author signings and panels, we intentionally limited the number of VIP tickets sold to ensure General Admission attendees also have access to these experiences.

Please note that featured signings and panels do have capacity limits:

  • Featured signings are limited by the number of attendees each author is able to accommodate.
  • Panels are limited by room occupancy requirements and venue safety regulations.
  • RSVP reservations are required for featured signings and panels due to these capacity restrictions.

We encourage attendees to review the schedule once it is released and prioritize the signings and panels that are most important to them when RSVP registration opens.

It's also important to remember that featured programming is only one part of the Lore & Luster experience. In addition to featured authors, there will be 60+ authors in the marketplace available throughout the weekend for readers to meet, shop from, and have books signed.

Parking and Transportation

Is parking available at the Convention Center?

Yes. The Greater Tacoma Convention Center offers on-site paid parking garages as well as nearby lots.

Is there free parking?

There is limited free street parking in the surrounding downtown area, though availability is not guaranteed - especially during peak event hours.

What do you recommend?

We recommend:

  • Arriving early for best parking availability
  • Using the Convention Center garage for convenience
  • Carpooling or rideshare when possible
